Online Learning

Online Learning
As at 19th June 2017 we have run two Awareness Sessions and we can, subject to demand, arrange other sessions in the future. Please keep an eye on the West Dever News or follow us on Facebook or Twitter (wonstoncpads) for details.

However, if you feel that some self-learning would be valuable then please watch some short videos which will show how to save a life and how simple it is to use defibrillators.

We start with some short videos made by South Central Ambulance Service followed by two videos demonstrating the exact model defibrillator and cabinet installed in our villages. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to watch all videos.

Use your browsers Refresh button (circular arrow) to reset the videos.
Here you can see the features of the  DefibTech LifeLine View CPAD.  This is the device which you will find in all five of our cabinets
Finally here is a short video which shows our cabinets.  The Community Heartbeat Trust version (which we have) is painted and signed differently but otherwise is identical in looks and use.
REAL LIFE SAVING INCIDENT
If you would like to see life being saved by a defibrillator then please watch this video . It was part of a documentary filmed by the BBC on the work of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The Air Ambulance Controller arrived for work feeling unwell and in a few minutes had suffered a heart attack followed by a cardiac arrest. Obviously the patient was in the right place at the right time but prompt CPR supported by the use of a defibrillator clearly saved a life. The video length is 14 mins.

Only watch this if videos of a medical nature won't upset you.
